Zanzibar - Night Diving at its best

Arriving at Zanzibar Airport is an experience all on its own. Africa at its best with your experience starting as soon as you step off the Plane.

We dived the East Coast from a small town called Paje. We dived with a great operation called Buccaneer diving - They were organised and professional.

Whilst the Day diving in Zanzibar in the Lagoon, is great for the Macro photography enthusiast, it is nothing to run back for.

However..... the night diving blew us away with plenty of variations of Hermit Crabs, and abundant life.

There were Sea Hares, lobsters and one of the guests even had a visit by a pod of dolphins on his night dive.

Day diving can also be difficult at times due to the tides as low tide can rid the bay of water for kilometers, especially at the spring and neap tides.
This is however a daily occurance and at times because of this, the first dive of the day is only at 3 o'clock in the afternoon or alternatively very very early in the morning.

Night diving in Zanzibar is a must and a reason to go back diving in Zanzibar.

I didn't get to the north area but have seen pictures and that is yet another reason to go back to Zanzibar.

Another reason to go to Zanzibar is for the history and the beauty that greets you when touring when not diving. The Spice tour is a very informative and a great outing, a day in Stone Town needs to be added into every itinerary.

One of the top tips for Zanzibar is that the price quoted can almost always be negotiated.
A very reasonably priced trip on an all inclusive basis.
